Welcome to this third and final update about our days in the studio. As we speak, we’re finishing and mixing the last tracks and it’s almost unbelievable it’s already more than 5 weeks ago when we started recording. It may come as no surprise we once again sweat blood and let me tell you it’s good to know you always forget how much effort it takes to record an album because otherwise you’d never do it anymore.
Last week we recorded some “gangvocals” for the record. It was the first time in the history of the band we did this, so it was a new experience for some of us which you can tell by just looking at the pictures. Needless to say, we thank the volunteers who sacrificed their voices for an obviously higher purpose.

Concerning the new record, we’re working on some release shows. They will be at the end of January and the beginning of February. We’ll keep you posted about that.
Moreover, a free two-song sampler will be available at all our upcoming shows with Death Before Dishonor and Ramallah. Both “Burial Ground” and “Predators” are songs from the Minister of Death album, so pick that up and let us know what you think of it.
…and remember…
Fear is the new standard

Andries
28.09.2006 - Hello Everybody
A quick update about our first days in the studio and I 'm proud to announce that there were no problems during the first days, we recorded drums. Serch did a good job at the CCR studio's and all the drumtracks were easily recorded during the time that was scheduled. 11 songs and one cover song were tracked which will be used for our upcoming split 7" with Zero Mentality. A big thanks to Jonas from Lost in Rhone to lend us his custom made bass drum and to Youri from the defunct Calibre for his entire kit and cymbals. Ace as usual likes to record it Zec-style which means: more drumkits are better.

The recording of the bass are up next, which makes me kinda nervous because I have to lay down the tracks. We will be heading to Ace his own upgraded studio for this and for the rest of the recordings, so Oostkamp, here we come.
In other news, check out the tour section, because we have a tour coming up and dates are being booked as we speak.

With the summer holidays coming to an end we’re also approaching the date where we’re gonna hit the studio to record our new full length. Within 6 weeks we’ll be entering the CCR studio’s to record the drums and the following weeks will be used to record the other parts, which will be done in both Fat Sounds studio and Ace Zecs own studio. In other words, time is ticking and we’re anxious to put the new songs on tape! What can you expect? Well, 11-12 songs and I think it’s safe to say we can assure you it’s going to be the most heavy and dark stuff either one of us has ever recorded before. The working title for the new record is “Minister of Death” and it should be out in January 2007 on GSR-music. Due to our hectic schedule and other unforeseen circumstances, we still have a lot of work to do, but I know we’re going to make it in time. Pressure is and always will be a good motivator!
We’re also working on a dvd as an extra for the new record. Since you can never have enough footage we would like to ask people who have ever shot some video-material of TSU to get in touch. Of course, all your expenses for postage or dvd-discs will be taken care of. Mail us at info@thesetupkills.com.
Besides all that, those who saw us on stage the last couple of months probably noticed that Christophe is no longer playing with us. Due to personal reasons he decided to leave the band. Something we all regret a whole lot but at the same time fully understood. We have to thank him for all the good times and we wish him all the best! Luckily for us, Nicolas from the mighty Leng tch’e helped us out a couple of times and the last couple of months, Kristof a.k.a DIE from Chimaera took over. Needless to say, we’re very grateful for helping us out. Both guys are a pleasure to share the stage with! The next couple of months Kristof will continue to fill the spot and we hope to announce a replacement when we get back from the studio at the end of October.
Last but most certainly not least, we’re also playing the Pukkelpop-festival on Friday the 18th. Needless to say we’re totally psyched for that one! We’re kicking it at the Skatestage at 12.00. We’re the only Belgian hardcore/punkband playing that day so be sure to represent and mosh hard! Also be sure to check out the other Belgian bands on Thursday and Saturday!
regards,
Andries
06.06.2006 - Hail the Jacky
It’s with great respect and regret, we have to announce the departure of drummer Benjamin Buschgens, long-time friend and co-founder of this band. When we started all this 3,5 years ago, Benjamin was one of the driving forces behind this band. Unfortunately, Benjamin’s professional situation has forced him to take this decision in common agreement with the band. We wish him all the luck with his professional career and there are not enough words to express how much we will miss this monster of curses and bad jokes. Nevertheless, it won’t come as a big surprise that Benjamin’s long-time stand in Serch Carriere is now a steady member of The Setup. We’re happy for having him and we’re still grateful for him being loyal to this band since the beginning.
Regards,
The Setup
25.04.2006 - Ready to Rage!
So we’re back after a short well deserved break during which Andries hopped on the Underdog/Justice-tour to drive the Underdog-van. He had a blast and brought with him some great memories and a bunch of cool stories to tell. The rest of us finally had some time to visit shows rather than to play any. Good times but we’re sick and tired of being lazy asses so we’re back, hard as nails. We’ve got a shitload of exciting shows coming up. We’re pretty stoked about the shows we’re about to play with Damnation AD, Ringworm, Madball… And shortly we will be playing our favourite Austrian venue in Dornbirn with Justice a.o. Good times! Check out the tour-section for all the dates.
But the near future is even more exciting. We’ll be leaving for a short tour with the legendary Path Of Resistance Thursday 27th. Do not miss out on because this isn’t your average tour. We kick off in Essen and do shows in Saalfeld, in Arnhem and in London. The Path will also be playing the Groezrock Fest.
Furthermore, remembering the old saying “I shop therefore I am”: we’ve got some new merch with a brandnew design from the infamous Ken 24. Check it out, buying guarantees you a stylish summer!
See you at one of our shows and don't forget to bring the mosh!
15.03.2006 - “Who Shares Wins”
What’s up everybody
It’s been a long time since our last update and it looks we’re totally heading to the situation we’re just one of those many bands that don’t update their website. It sucks, we know.
However, some of you might know that we normally would leave for tour at the end of this month with Ramallah. Unfortunately, they had to cancel their entire tour, which is a disappointment for a lot of people, myself included, but these things happen. Therefore April will be a very calm month for us because we had to cancel all the April–shows. We once again apologize to all the promoters who had to find replacement bands, but it was obviously a chance we had to take although it turned out differently.
Nevertheless, we’re going to use those weeks to work some more on new songs. The clock is ticking and there’s still a lot of work to do. We already had a talk with producer Ace Zec concerning the new record and everything has to be ready by the end of November.
Concerning possible tour plans, the good people at MAD are working on some replacement shows for us in May. It’s too early to start dropping names and dates, but as soon as it gets confirmed, you’ll be the first to know it. Of course we’re still supporting the Path of Resistance on their short trip. For dates, check the toursection.
This weekend we’ll be playin our last shows for a couple of weeks. On Friday we’ll be playing Castricum (Hol) with Nothing Done, Samaritan and Fight Fight Fight and on Saturday we have a show in Hove with our brothers from another mother Malkovich. Let it be clear we’re totally stoked for that. Please do visit their website, download their new video and try to prove us wrong.
On top of that, Lords and the mighty Coliseum are also playing this show so what do you want more! We hope to see you all.

30.01.2006 - Suffer, and don’t you bitch about the pain
There’s not that much to tell right now, but to keep this thing alive, we have to feed it sometimes, don’t we. So here we go.
Two weeks ago we had a very nice time in Odense, Denmark. It’ sometimes good to go up north to realise how lucky we are with the Belgian weather, because it was damn cold over there. Nevertheless, we survived, had a good show and we ended the weekend in style when we played Hamburg together with our good friends in Zero Mentality. Hamburg equals reeperbahn and reeperbahn equals good times and if you don’t believe me…
By now, you probably heard about Zero Mentality’s line-up changes, but word on the street is that they are very close to finding the suited replacement for Dom, part-time apple squeezer and also guitarist in Born From Pain. Let it be clear that “Dolph Lundgren” will be missed! Anyway, we are planning some shows with them in May, so if people are interested in booking both The Setup and Zero Mentality, please contact us or the people at MAD. It’s too soon to tell more about that, but we’ll keep you posted.
Concerning the new record. It’s probably going to come out early 2007. We will be recording somewhere in November and if everything goes as planned, we probably will be working once again with Ace Zec, the wizard that produced The Pretense of Normality. We already started writing songs, so you can expect some new songs in the near future. Also, our part-time drummer Serch is now playing drums for Liar on their tour with The Black Dahlia Murder. We’d like to wish Hans, Matthias and all the other guys in Liar good luck.
In the meantime, please do checkout the new split cd from our friends in Autumn Delay and the Black Heart Rebellion. You can get it through offerandumrecords.

06.01.2006 - Best Wishes for 2006!!
We hope 2006 will be as cool as 2005! This year was amazing for us! We got to release our album, played some awesome shows, met some really cool people and had good times on all our roadtrips. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made this possible and anyone who had an interest in what we did!
Right now we’re taking a little break, but we’ll be back on track starting next week with shows in Denmark and Germany. Last shows we played were the GSR showcases in November-December. The showcases were fun and we hope there’s more of that in 2006! It was great hanging out with our friends from Zero Mentality, Knuckledust, Black Friday ’29, Liar, Apokalypse now, the GSR crew and all the people that showed up, good times! Unfortionately Dries managed to sprain both his ankles during those shows…he’s getting old. So don’t laugh too hard if you see him walking funny on stage.
So what’s in store for 2006? Well more of the same, you can see us on a stage in a town near you, no doubt about that! In April we’re doing a couple of shows with the Path of Resistance during their short visit in Europe. We’re also gonna start writing new material for a new album which we want to record by the end of the year. No worries, we’ll be testing the moshability of the new stuff on you guys in a couple of months, be patient.
That’s it for now. Keep on checking the site for more updates.
Be safe! Be cool! Be true!
Take care,
Raf
15.11.2005 - The Rise of Reality
As you can see when you enter this website, our lp is out on reality records and in case you want a limited copy on white, I suggest you contact vzw@realityrecords.be, because we already ran out of our share of the white waxes. Only 100 were made, so act fast. While you're at it, don't forget to check the new Liar-record Murder Manifesto because they started it all, 10 years ago when me and Raf were still wearing Medium shirts and Dries graduated for the first time.
Furthermore, we're approaching the end of this year. 2005 has been a very busy and interesting year for us as a band. We still have lots of shows to play till half December, but we have only one Belgian show left. On the 4th of December we kick off the Persistance show in the AB, Brussels along with great bands like Hatebreed, Agnostic Front, Napalm Death and many more. It would be nice to see some familiar faces. The rest of the remaining shows will be GSR-showcases along with our colleagues in Knuckledust, Zero Mentality, Black Friday 29, Apocalypse Now and Liar.
Concerning 2006, it will be more of the same. We're working on some tours and we can already say that we're gonna do some shows with the legendary Path of Resistance when they come over at the end of april next year. Needless to say, it's something I look forward to because Earth Crisis was and still is one of my favourite bands ever. Moreover, we gonna start working on some new tunes because it's already been a year since we recorded our record and those things take time.
This weekend, we're playing Recklinghausen, together with our friends in Break and Enter, and Hoogeveen with O'Hara, State of Mind and Stabback. Good Times coming up!
Finally, it's been a very busy year for Belgian hardcore. Lots of good records came out and lots of shows were amazing. Nevertheless, as already mentionned, Liar and Rise and Fall are releasing new records, so make sure you check those records out. Also our friends in Pushed too far are releasing their first mini-cd and that's also worth your attention.

27.10.2005 - V is for Visa and W is for Westwijk
October is coming to an end so this means two things: First of all, we’ve finished playing a hell of a lot shows this past 4 weeks and secondly our friends in The Power and The Glory are playing their last show this weekend in Kontich, Lintfabriek. It's your last chance to see this incredible band before they go back home don’t miss out on this!
Talking about TPATG, let me take the opportunity to say that we had an awesome time with them on the road. It was all about Born Against shirts, 4 dollar guitar strings, the bone church, little bitch, Hull, The Hartlepool Monkey and Sean Poo, and it was worth it! Obviously, we met lots of new people, played some very good shows and visited some very interested places. Therefore, we want to thank Sam"sterdam" and Kevin for booking this tour.
And we stay on the wonderful island that is the UK: we had a great time at this year's Ninjafest! It's so cool to see some of the friends we made the last two years representing upfront. Needless to say, this fest is truly remarkable. Once again, May, Louise and Rachel.we can't thank you enough! Also a big shout out to Seb and the nice people in Dornbirn, Austria for giving us a nice welcome back and an amazing show.
More great news! It's with great joy that we can announce the historical landmark in this band's history, namely the arrival of the Gatefold vinyl-version of The Pretense of Normality. If you scroll down for like half an hour, you probably find an entry where we said that it would be out soon, well I guess we were wrong. Due to acts of God, misprints, shady Black Metal bands and other malfunctions, it took us more than 4 months to get it, but for those who still care.it's finally there! Everybody that will be at the Bane/Comeback Kid/FC Five/TSU show in Kontich will be able to get a hold of a copy. We have a limited amount on white vinyl, so you know what to do. We'll keep you posted about what we're going to do with the misprints because everybody that already saw the misprints insisted on getting one.
Concerning the near future, as you can see somewhere else on this website, we have two shows this weekend with The Power and The glory. On Saturday we play a nice festival in Tilburg with our friends in Amen Ra, Omission, Trouble Loves Us and Brabant's finest No Turning Back. So, maybe we'll see you there.
Anyway, to end al this with the commercial break: The mighty Officer Jones has released its first album "Memorial". Pick it up. It's really, really good and if you don't like it, it's always cool to have it.

08.09.2005
We’re almost at the end of this crazy summer and we’re preparing ourselves to get on tour at the end of this month in support of Deathwish’s The Power and The Glory. A pretty intense band, so we’ll have to do our best not to be blown away!
Last update I mentioned Kristof from Chimaera filling in on guitar for this tour, in the meantime, it was decided that the mighty Koen from Chimaera would take care of the guitars and as we speak, chances are pretty high Raf will get permission from his job to do the whole tour. This all, just to let you know, playing in a hardcore-band can be damn complicated and there are no certainties whatsoever!
More importantly, we’re very proud to announce that the nice people at MAD will be taking care of our bookings in the near future. From now on, if you want to book us at a show, please email ute@mad-tourbooking.de. They will take care of everything and don’t be afraid about us suddenly demanding big bottles of Jägermeister and naked women. We’re a hardcoreband, so it’s all good.
We also got some new zipups and some new longsleeves coming up, both of them created by Sven from Dirge Design, so you know, shit’s gonna look amazing!
This Saturday, we’re playing The Lintfabriek with Troublelovesus, Die My Demon and the mysterious Arcade amongst others, so if you’re in for a party, make sure you get there. On Sunday we’re doing a very cosy Sunday Matinee in Breda with our friends
in Born From Pain and Dark Intentions. Hopefully, we’ll see some familiar faces there as well.
And to end all this with our usual commercial break: the new Ringworm record is coming out pretty soon and it’s no surprise it’s awesome. More metal, more aggression, more justice replaced by revenge!

05.08.2005 - A new month, a new update
So what’s going on.
July was mainly all about playing shows and we ‘d like to thank all the kids that showed us massive support on several of these gigs. Without you, we’re just a bunch of Antwerp dudes acting cool on stage. Last Saturday, we played our first show in Denmark and let it be clear that we had a great time and that Denmark is all about the metal. It was good to see our friends in Aborted conquering the city of Fredericia. That band is so good.
As we speak the vinyl-version of The Pretense of Normality is being pressed. We expect the record to be available at the Ieper-fest on the 26th of August. We’re all really stoked to see the result. Keep checking this site and start mailing the people at reality records in order to get your hands on the deluxe gatefold package.
Below you can find the shows we’re gonna play with The Power and The Glory. Kristof from the mighty Chimaera / Think it Through will play guitar on all the UK-dates.

Oct. 01: Newport@Le Pub
Oct. 02: Coventry@The Jailhouse
Oct. 03: Manchester@Star & Garter
Oct. 04: Glasgow@Barfly
Oct. 05: Hull@The New Adelphi

Oct. 08: Hartlepool@The Studio
Oct. 09: Belgium/Bruges@tba
Oct. 28: Leeuwarden@Mukkes

As you can see, we’re playing Scotland and I don’t know about you guys, but I’m really looking forward to visit Glasgow. Moreover, we’re working on a big tour at the end of Oktober. We’ll see what happens. It’s safer to keep you in the dark about those plans before everything is fully confirmed. More news about that in the near future.

17.07.2005 - salutations lovers and haters,
Hopefully everybody is enjoying the summer! It's a busy period for us this summer, we're playing all over Belgium so if you feel like it come and hang with us.
By the end of this month the vinyl release of "the pretense of normality" should be a fact. Thanks again to tom from reality records for making this happen! There will be 500 copies and the colour of choice will be white.
We added some reviews of the pretense of normality cd, most of them are in dutch. It's awesome getting so many positive comments on our album, we're really glad that you boys and girls are into the new album. Also check out some interviews we did:
http://www.dreun.com/
http://www.asice.net/
http://www.insider-magazine.tk
A while back we did an interview on studio brussel, you can check that here
Some of you may have noticed that we have some weird looking black dude behind the drums these last couple of shows. That's serch, he'll be filling in for Benjamin. Just so you know, Benjamin did not quit the band, he'll be doing shows again in august. Check out serch his other band, minus45degrees, they just released their album. Also released their new album, our friends from chimaera! check them out!
Take care, don't forget to chill at some pool and/or BBQ. Feel free to contact us if you're throwing a party, we'll come and chill with you as we all are great fans of bbq/pool parties!
Check out break and enter, a promising new hardcore band from Belgium, their demo is awesome! if you can't book us, book them...or die!
peace out!

15.06.2005
Hey kiddos,
A quick what’s up! The nice people at MAD hooked us up with some very cool shows this week in Germany. We'll be playing with Madball, H2O, Walls of Jericho and Murphy’s Law. If you’re in the area come over and hang out with us! These are the dates:
16.06.2005 - Germany - Darmstadt - w/ Walls of Jericho
17.06.2005 - Germany - COTTBUS - w/ Madball and H20
18.06.2005 - Germany - Berlin - w/ Murphy's Law
And don’t forget next week we’ll be playing shows with Terror and Merauder in Holland, so come and check that out because those bands kill it. And off course everybody is going to the Morda release show in Bruges on june 29!! I want to see 800 kids bashing skulls that night! The dates:
23.06.2005 - Holland - Nijmegen - doornroosje w/ No Turning Back, Terror
24.06.2005 - Holland - Sneek - bolwerk w/ Merauder
29.06.2005 - Belgium - Magdalena Zaal – Morda (Cd-release) w/ Morda, Liar, Severance
Check out the updated show list for all the other shows we have planned this summer.
The vinyl version of “The Pretense Of Normality” will be released on Reality Records and hopefully will hit the stores in July. The layout will contain the original artwork. It’s going to be a gatefold LP and Sven (dirge design) will take care of the final lay-outing. So for all you vinyl-lovers who haven’t picked up the new record yet, now is your chance!
That’s it for now! But we can’t leave you kids without the obligatory namedroppig part. So if you want a break from studying listen to the think it through demo and if you’re done with your exams go to the first break and enter show, on june 19th at de link in Hasselt!
peace out!

18.05.2005
Aloha,
After three very hectic weeks, the first part in promoting our new record is over and goddamn, it was amazing. Being on the road with clevelands finest for almost a week was definitely one of the coolest experiences in the history of this band. We therefore wish to thank the best dudes for the great week. Moreover, we were very touched by the overwhelming response we got at the Groezrock Fest. We appreciated it very much. For some reason, we still feel very weird when things like that happen.
We also like to thank Piek and Tash for the very cool release-party in Bruges. Together with our friends in Provided, Black Heart Rebellion and the mighty Amen Ra, it was more than just another show and while I’m writing this, I’m still tired because of the 5 shows we played in the Uk with our boys in Think it Through and our new found Brothers in The 7th Cross. All you metalcoreheads should check out that band. They’re gonna get huge, mark my words. In the near future, you can expect some tour reports about that, completed with all kinds of pictures.
Nevertheless, the record will officially come out next Wednesday. Therefore, we have another release-party this Saturday. We hope to see a lot of familiar faces because we think it’s gonna be an awesome show with one of Europe’s best hardcore bands No Turning Back on the bill together with Sparkle of Hope and Think it Through. The entrance cost is low and word on the street is that the notorious “Cosby” will be behind the bar. For those who don’t know Cosby, he’s like willow meets Webster meets the singer of Coheed and Cambria, so you better be there.
Furthermore we are very proud that Reality records from Belgium will release the pretense of normality on vinyl. It’s hard to describe how stoked we are for that and we are extremely grateful that the people at reality will take care of this. You can expect a nice gatefold package but we keep you posted on that.
That’s it for now. Be on the lookout for the new website. It will be online somewhere next week. In the meantime keep on checking the shows-section. We have a whole lot of new shows coming up. There’s also another tour coming up at the end of September with The Power & The Glory but more about that in a few weeks. We also have some interviews on the radio next week. On Monday we will be guests on Radio FM Brussels and on Tuesday we will present the new record on Studio Brussels. More details about that somewhere this week.
Next show: this friday with The Maple Room, Bourbon for Roses @ Panic d’O, Mechelen.
Regards
Andries
25.04.2005
Dear all
We're leaving on our tour with Ringworm tomorrow so we're all pretty siked, and plain nervous as well. All the new merch is ready and looks good. New shirts, new hoodies and zip up sweaters and most importantly: girlies! Also, we may or may not be selling the new record, but it depends on the pressing plant so let’s hope we’ll get them on time.
After the Ringworm-shows we play 4 shows without Krikke. Due to job-obligations he’s not able to play the shows, so we asked long time friend of the band Dries from old Reply-fame to fill in. It’s a great situation, because with him, we got three “dries”-names in the band. It just doesn’t get cooler than this. A couple of days later we will hit the UK for a tour with Think it Through and The 7th Cross. This time Benjamin will be replaced by the one and only Serch, due to a big promotion at work. I know, it gets pretty confusing, but you know what they say about the rhythm section…these are the ones you can replace.
Later
Andries
30.03.2005
As March is coming to an end, the release date of our record is coming closer. GSR will officially release the record on the 26th of May. Nevertheless, as promised, we will have some limited amount of cd’s for sale during the weeks prior to the release.
We can also announce that we will do a release-show for the album on the 21st of May at JH Horizont/Meerhout. Other bands playing that night are our boys in Think it Through, the mighty No Turning Back and the technically skilled Sparkle of Hope. Besides that show we’re also working on another release-show in another awesome part of this beautiful country. Expect more details in the following weeks
But since it's all about the music you guys and girls should be thrilled to hear we will launch the first MP3 of the upcoming album somewhere next week! You can also expect a new site pretty soon so you can say goodbye to our pastel coloured website, I admit, it will be missed.
Some show-news: tonight we will be playing de Centrale in Ghent with The Dillinger Escape Plan and Amen Ra. Only three bands, so what more do you want. This weekend we will also do the last part of the Paint The Town Red / Solid Ground Tour. This Friday we play Tilburg and the next day it’s off to Herten/Germany.
As usual, we have to brainwash you all with something we think is cool, so today we want you all to dig the new Think it Through-demo. It will be up for sale in a couple of weeks, so you know what to do!
Andries
07.03.2005
Dear All
After two and a half months of hard work, we can officially say that The Pretense of Normality is finished. We easily could have worked another month on this record, but thank God there are deadlines and recordlabels that force you to finish it, because otherwise we for sure would have gone down in history as the band that never released its first full length. It’s no joke, maybe if I find the time I ‘ll write everything down that went wrong during these recordings to give you an idea about the curse on this record. I guess, one of us probably did something wrong during a previous life, because it wasn’t funny anymore. I don’t know who it was, but I think it was Dries and some unfinished business with a girl.
However, the result is amazing. Ace Zek did a great job and we are all pretty proud about it. GSR will post an MP3 in the near future, so be on the lookout for that. The official release is the 12th of May, but we’ll already have some copies when we’re on the road with Ringworm and definitely when we’re playing Groezrock, so start saving some money.
Artwork was done by Dennis Sibeijn and it’s really good. If you don’t know him, we strongly suggest you to check out his work, because the guy is really talented. It fits the music perfect. He basically created something based on some lyrics which is really cool. Don’t expect some sacred hearts nor any other typical live picture because it’s a piece of art we’re talking about here. Seriously, I love sacred hearts, but stubborn as we are, we tried something else and we love it! So even if you don’t like it, lie about it and say you think it’s great.
Back to the music now. The record lasts 33 minutes and has 10 songs and an instrumental outro. Guestvocals were done by Bjorn from Rise and Fall and Klaas from Think it Through and they both did what we wanted them to do. Also check out our instrumental outro. I really love that track…Jan Vermeerbergen came up with some pretty sick samples and Ace gave it the treatment it deserved.
On the personal side. Benjamin came back from Mordor and The Shire. He’s a married man now and he managed to keep his ring on his finger which is good. Last weekend we played three shows with him and it felt good to have him back.
We thank Serch for all the excellent performances he gave during the last couple of weeks. It’s good to have the attention back on the band and not only on his excellent drumskills. All you ladies don’t have to panic, because he will keep on going on the road with us whenever he has the time
and if you want to see him more, keep checking Minus 45degrees.
This thursday, we play the Melkweg in Amsterdam with Converge and Modern Life is War. We obviously open the show, but we hope to see some familiar faces on this awesome show.
That’s it for now: we have a lot of shows coming up to get us ready for April and May. So keep checking the shows-section and expect some new merch in the future. We’re also working on a new website, so don’t be surprised when all this will be slightly different!
Before I forget it. One last shout out to Vince from the mighty Amen Ra to help us out with the mastering; we owe you a lot!
Later!

Everybody,
The official statement:
Conspiracy Bookings is proud to announce a 5-day European Tour of Cleveland's most vile and destructive hardcore metal band RINGWORM. Joining Ringworm on this short tour will be Belgium's THE SETUP, who will be releasing their debut full length "The Pretense Of Normality" on GSR records in May.
The more I read it, the happier I get. Honestly, a tour with the mighty Ringworm, imagine that. Mad Respect to our good friend Jan Vermeerbergen for hooking us up.
Moreover, we get the chance to play the prestigious Groez Rock-festival on Saturday the 30th of April.
All this will probabaly be the beginning of some extensive touring and playing shows in order to support our upcoming release on GSR.
Like it’s stated above, we found ourselves a title for the album. “The Pretense of Normality” will be the name and I know it’ s a mouth full and you youngsters better start reading some books instead of drawing some forbidden signs on walls, but this title covers it all.
That’s it for now..next weekend we’re playing Hardcore at the Attic with some labelmates and other good bands so you’ll know what to do.
Kind Regards
Andries

Yo! A few updates. The recordings are as good as finished, we hope to get the mix done this week. Just to make things difficult we decided to change the name of the album into "the pretense of normality". Also by next week, we hope to have the complete layout done for the album. The artwork we have seen so far looks amazing. Check out the damn engine site.
We will be joining the mighty RINGWORM on their short european tour. The groezrock festival is the first confirmed date. I don't need to tell you we're all psyched as hell for this tour!! We'll post the other dates as soon as we have more info.

19.01.2005 - first of all happy new year, may 2005 be a good year for all of you!
Right now we're in the process of recording our first album. It has been hectic up to now. Andries' amp broke down twice and we had some minor technical difficulties in the studio, but it all worked out and we're pretty stoked about how it sounds! It's gonna be brutal and heavy, just the way we want it.
The tentative title of the album is "to beat the odds", so be on the lookout for that! It should be released on april 28th on GSR records.
A little bit of bad news, we had to cancel our first show in january! So we won't be playing at the first think it through show in hasselt, major bummer!! But this can't be a reason for y'all not to go to that show. So this thursday de link in hasselt is where it's at: think it through, reproach and the maple room! be there!
We already have a bunch of shows scheduled for 2005, check them out over here. We'll be playing on the zero mentality release show in february and the day after that we'll be playing in Austria for the very first time, we're really looking forward to that weekend.
In may we're visiting the UK again. This time we'll be joined by our friends from think it through and no turning back for five days of total misschief and mayhem. More info on that soon!
that's it for now, take care!
